Reviews each guide for medical accuracy before it publishes: whether the description of a technique, timeline, or risk reflects current clinical practice. See the full medical reviewer profile for what this review does and doesn't cover.
Our language standard
Specific wording choices we hold every guide to, because vague or absolute claims are one of the easiest ways a medical page misleads without technically lying.
- We hedge where the evidence is variable: "may," "often," "typically," and ranges instead of single numbers.
- "Guaranteed," "scarless," "painless," "risk-free," "best," "maximum density," and "permanent" are not used without a stated qualification.
- FUE does not leave a linear scar, but it does leave small extraction scars in the donor area; we say so plainly rather than implying "no scarring at all."
- "DHI" describes an implantation approach; the harvesting step is still individual follicular-unit extraction, and we do not present it as an unrelated technique.
- "Sapphire FUE" is a recipient-site blade material variation on standard FUE, not a separate harvesting method, and we do not price or describe it as if it were.
- Expected recovery effects (swelling, shedding, numbness) are described separately from warning signs that need clinical assessment, never blended together.
Independence
This site is not owned or funded by any clinic, hospital, or hair transplant provider, and it does not accept payment to feature, rank, or favourably describe any provider. Commercial sources are only ever used for clearly labelled price observations, never to support a medical or safety claim on their own. See our source policy for the full source hierarchy, and our corrections page if you've spotted something that needs fixing.
